Dressed for Practice

The start of football season is just around the corner for us. This past Sunday was the boy’s first day of football clinic which is pretty much warm up practice and it prepares them for the pre-season grueling work outs (they are not that bad for the little ones).

For the occasion Dahlia wore an outfit gifted to her for her birthday, neon shorts and a floral printed blouse with a neon green hair clip flower.

A little more insight on the boy’s football regime: Practices are every Sunday for 2 hours until pre-season starts which is every day for 2 hours for 6 weeks! Then the season starts and practice is reduce to 3 days a week plus games on the weekends. Its a real busy time for us. My oldest is in tackle football and the little one is in his 2nd year Flag so we are used to doing this year after year. However we didn’t anticipate how easily bored Dahlia would get watching her brothers from the sidelines. Not even 20 minutes into practice she decided she wanted to walk around in the empty baseball field and around the playground. I wasn’t expecting not to be able to watch the boys like I have in the past, which makes me sad and it makes me wonder how will it go for us once the season actually starts!

The playground was a good entertainment for her and kept her busy for a while. But during that time we missed the kid’s practice

She also enjoyed the freedom of being able to run around in the dirt!

We were able to keep her a little busy while sitting in the side lines by playing peek-a-boo with her :)
